Lesley and her daughter Syl are advocating for women with Endo and their families & friends who are all affected by this horrible disease.
WE ARE CAMPAIGNING FOR THE RIGHT TO ACCESS THE SAME TREATMENT OPTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO WOMEN IN OTHER COUNTRIES.
We started a petition a week ago to convince Bayer to market one of the few medications designed specifically to treat Endometriosis. Why can’t we buy it in Australia or NZ? Because Bayer don’t think we’re worth it.
Visanne (Dienogest) has already been approved for use in Australia (TGA 2010) but Bayer thinks there aren’t enough women who need it to make it worthwhile putting on the market. This is so unfair. Women in Canada, South Africa, Europe and South America can get it but Australians and New Zealanders were never given the choice.
Lesley says, “I am not advocating for this drug – only for my daughter and thousands of other women to have the opportunity to try it.”
